A Company on the move

FST stands for Franklin Specialty Transport. That’s the name we chose when we went into business in 1991. We were a temp-controlled LTL freight forwarder back then with just 11 employees. In the next few years we added an interstate trucking service called FST Express, a freight brokerage and a headquarters facility on Harrison Drive on Columbus, Ohio’s west side.

Our business grew to include intrastate services in 1995, and when we purchased the Ancon fulfillment warehouse soon thereafter, we began offering multi-temperature, long-term storage, order fulfillment, and pool distribution.

To more accurately characterize the company and the diversity of services we provide to our growing list of clients, we became FST Logistics in 2000. With three Columbus locations, an Akron, Ohio cross dock, a new truck terminal, an expanding fleet and 200 employees, we are the full-service third-party logistics provider we could only have imagined nearly 20 years ago.
